A soap bubble! I really like this one and I had so much fun painting it :)
Reference from a photo I took in the summer of 2006.

for the same school project as [link] [link] and [link]
I got the theme 'empty' ... truthfully, I didn't feel very inspired by this. I spent quite a lot of time thinking about how I could make this topic 'mine'. In the end I decided to concentrate on things that are empty, but seem 'full' due to the play of light and colours or due to their trancparency. Thus to represent them realistically I can't leave those objects 'empty' and have to fill it up with colours, abstract shapes, swirls and lines.

Media: oils on canvas, underpainting in acrylics
Time: about 11 hours

And my aim in my life is to make pictures and drawings, as many and as well as I can; then, at the end of my life, I hope to pass away, looking back with love and tender regret, and thinking, 'Oh, the pictures I might have made.'.

It seems so realistic and hard to beleive that you painted! I love every single detail! I could study it for days.. even though, that would be quite challenging, andyway, you get the point, I just absolutely love it!

You never know if you have gone as far as you can until you try to go further.
